Check out SalesVu’s nifty customer, Nikki’s Knots!

Nikki’s Knots (KN) is a yarn shop located in Woodland Park, Colorado. NK stands out from the rest because of its unique lounge area where crafters can hang out, craft and get to know fellow members in the crafting community all while enjoying refreshments.

Nikki’s Needs

When starting her business, Owner Nikki Parsons was looking for a POS system that offered inventory tracking to assess the long-term preferences of her customers. She also was interested in accounting for the profitability of the items she sells. Parsons needed a mobile processor so that she could make sales at the occasional trade show or farmers’ market.

So, Why SalesVu?

Parsons heard about SalesVu through a credit card processor when she was looking for an inventory tracking POS system. At the time, she was using Square and had looked into PayPal, Intuit and LightSpeed prior to joining SalesVu. Her budget would not allow for most POS software and she already owned an iPad that she was comfortable using, making SalesVu iPad POS the obvious choice.

Mobile Payment SquareUp: SalesVu beats Square at Purse & Clutch

Hi my name is Jen Ardill and I am the owner of Purse and Clutch. I am really excited about the possibility of being able to accept credit cards at the Farmers Market. A lot of times people will bring cash to buy their produce for the week, but they are not necessarily have cash for impulse buys. I originally thought I was going to use Square, and kind of looked into that and actually ordered it and then I realized that all you can do is type in the numbers instead of actually having your prices entered. So it seemed really limiting. So I tried using SalesVu. So I really like how easy this setup is. I can choose separate categories so I can choose my categories for scarves, and I have two different types of scarves. I can say how many scarves that I have. So I know that I have eleven scarves and when one sells it’s going to take it off of my inventory. I have all my inventory already put in. So all I have to do whenever someone comes is type that they wanted an apron and it also keeps all the inventory online, so I don’t have to write down or try to keep track of everything because it’s already online. Another feature that I really like is that I can email out a receipt so not only does it keep track of their emails so I can contact them later, but they also have a record of the purchase that they just made. So it just makes it that much more secure and gives people that peace of mind. So I think it’s going to make things really easy today and I’m excited to get started. I’m really happy that I decided to go with SalesVu instead of with Square or another credit card reader. I feel like it, first of all, the apparatus that is comes with is much sturdier than Square which is just a small thing up top. I can really get a good grip and slide it across. Also I notice that when I was at the Farmers Market it never shows the credit card number, so it’s much more secure then with Square, and I want to make sure my customers feel very secure as they hand me over their credit card that they don’t have to worry about identity theft or someone taking their number because it’s not even possible. I really like that. So I’ve logged into SalesVu.com, and I’m going to look at the reports tab. To look at my sales by product, just to see how I did at the Farmers Market yesterday. It’s nice that I don’t have to input anymore data, but it’s all been collected on my phone already and it goes straight here. So I can look at the date range, I’m going to look at yesterday, and I started 8am in the morning, and I ended, we’ll just say to be safe, the whole day. I can choose that I can look at products or categories by level, but I’m just going to choose products, select all, and in the future if I expand, I can show by specific store or employee, I’m just going to choose all for right now. Then I’m going to submit it. I’ve chosen to do a pie chart, although I can choose other graphs as well. Here I can see just by glancing at it, how much I’ve made per product. If I were to use another product like Square for my card reader, I would have to enter all this manually into a spread sheet and have to make a graph of my own, and this saves me so much time. The next thing I want to look at is my order form. Again, I’m going to choose, looking at yesterday, starting in the morning until yesterday in the evening, and then submit. So it’s going to show me all of my orders, so I can expand one. I can see that this scarf is $24 and I have the person’s signature, so that I can refund it or re-email the receipt. So here I’m at my inventory tab, I can view or adjust my inventory. Here you see I have everything with the quantity that is updated with the purchases that were made at the Farmers Market. So I can always know just at a glance when I need to put in my next inventory order with my wholesaler. I can look at my inventory by categories, so I can see that I have five handkerchiefs left, and I have eleven scarves. It’s so nice to just be able to view everything at a glance and that it’s the same setup that’s on my phone that I was looking at the Farmers Market. Square would never allow me to do anything like this because isn’t an inventory option. Simply with Square, you just enter in the number. Last thing we’re going to look at is the customer database that it automatically makes. Here I have emails, and if I wanted to go in and fill in extra information I could. I can choose to view the history of something. So I can see, okay, this person is not a repeat customer, so I can really learn a lot of information about my customers from right here on the customer tab. It also shows the total amount that I sold, I can also export these things and information if I want to get to the information in any other way.

District House Explains How SalesVu iPad POS is Setting the Bar

District House (DH) is an Oklahoma City coffee bar, deli and event center that hosts art and live bands on a regular basis. DH heard about SalesVu’s iPad POS from several businesses in the area that use it and “love it.”

“We had been using Square for our catered events and found that SalesVu was a much better option and that our employees loved the easy, intuitive design of SalesVu,” said DH Manager Joshua Cain.

“When looking around at options we looked at Square and our bank’s business system, but in talking with our business banker, she said that ‘our system can’t even begin to compete with SalesVu. We now have our IT guys looking into it and seeing what we can do to improve ours.’ She was blown away with how easy and cost effective it was. We had to go with SalesVu; no one could beat it or come close,” said Cain.

As a small business with a lot of space to cover, DH is able to use different mobile devices to manage the many events they host. With SalesVu, they can rearrange their space and having mobile sales stations makes it convenient and practical at events. They can use their iPad POS at the door for concerts or at the coffee cart during catered events.

Mobile Payment SquareUp: SalesVu Beats Square at Brians Brew

Hey this is Brian from Brians Brew. I recently switch from Square to SalesVu. SalesVu is the best point of sale and mobile payment solution I have ever seen. SalesVus card reader is more stable and more secure than Squares. Their rates are better. With Square, if I enter the card manually, because of an account that I have on file or a scratched card, they want to charge 3.5%. With SalesVu, it’s still 2.7% for manually entered cards. With Square if I do more than a $1000 I have to wait 30 days for the funds to post. With SalesVu, it doesn’t matter how much I do, it’s still the next day.

I love this SalesVu app because it just blows Square out of the water. It is the best point of sale. Square is very basic. You put items on there, once you get over 20 items you have trouble finding everything, but with this SalesVu app, you can look at it through category, you can look at it alphabetically, you can program the list where, the top of list is what you’re selling the most. You can find anything in seconds. It’s very user friendly. I love how I can just program modifiers in, if someone wants to make a latte a soy latte I can have that charge as a modifier. You can’t do that with Square. There’s a great part of the app that connects with facebook. It’s fantastic for viral marketing. There’s a discount button on the app that’s not on Square. You can program it to be what ever kind of discount you want. That’s not anything close to what Square offers. The great thing about SalesVu is that, it is the whole package. It is a wonderful point of sale. It’s mobile, and you can do sales out in the field. When I’m on a catering order. I took a sale in an elevator on the way up to a place where I was delivering coffee.

One of my favorite things about the SalesVu app is the ability to get on the cloud and control everything. You can change your prices, add a product, all in a matter of seconds. You can hit save, pushes everything to your device, no matter what you do, if you’re changing something on the cloud, it’ll push it to all your devices. So I have three different devices that I use at the current shop. You can track sales by device and not just general lump sum. So when I’m running reports, I can track what’s selling fastest and what’s selling slow. It’s great you that you can run it by not just how many tacos you’re running, but what kind of tacos and what time of day, hourly, what time of day are you selling out of tacos. SalesVu helps me track all that. Square doesn’t allow me to track any of that. Just great that you can get something so simple to use and so vast in it’s abilities. In real time I can know what my sales are at the shop. When I went of vacation to Arkansas, I was able to get online to see how the employees were doing, and see what the sales were. I was able to tack our hourly, any kind of report you could think of, you can run hourly, you can run by product, you can put it in a bar graph, you can put it in a line, a pie chart, a table form. It’s so easy to use and so easy to track. The cloud offers so many features. You can manage your customers, view the customer history. When I grow my business and add many more devices and more locations, I can have a good picture of who needs to be up selling an extra shot to a latte, or adding more food items to the general drink and so it’s real important for me to know who’s on what device and who’s our best salesman, and what techniques are they using so that we can get other employees to use the same thing.

So one day in the future, I can be sitting by my pool, and have my laptop out, and just see what the sales are, what’s going on in every shop in all 30 stores.

SalesVu launches the first mobile payment application tied to a cloud-based management infrastructure

SalesVu announces the release of a new mobile payment solution designed to significantly improve efficiency for the mobile workforce.
The new solution is comprised of a payment application for the iPhone and iPad, which connects to a secure cloud-based infrastructure for centralized management, reporting, and marketing.
The app is now available and allows mobile workers to process different types of transactions (cash, checks, credit cards, and gift cards) and automatically emails a receipt to customers. The company sends a free card reader to businesses if they choose to process credit cards, and offers a low 2.7% rate on all credit card transactions (swiped or manually entered).
This new application is revolutionary for mobile businesses because it ties to a comprehensive cloud-based infrastructure that seamlessly integrates operations, management, and marketing. Business owners are now able to manage their entire business from SalesVu.com — updating prices, products and services, customer data, and more, and automatically beaming the changes to mobile devices in the field. Managers can also monitor mobile transactions and visualize sales trends by employee, product, or time of day, gathering significant marketing insight thanks to SalesVu’s enterprise graphing and reporting engine.
In addition to the operational benefits of the solution, SalesVu’s patent-pending technology also integrates with Facebook so that businesses can share deals and generate buzz through their own customer base. “We make it easy for businesses to generate word of mouth via Facebook, they don’t even have to do anything because their customers spread the message on their behalf” said Pascal Nicolas, CEO of SalesVu.
The elegance of the SalesVu solution allows it to be much more than just a mobile payment app and turns it into a complete end-to-end business solution. The SalesVu solution is free for single person businesses, and subscription-based for multi-employee businesses ($9.95/month/device when multiple devices are linked to the same email address). Given the convenience of mobile transaction processing, centralized cloud-based management from any web browser, and automated social marketing, we anticipate SalesVu to quickly gather a leadership position in the fast growing mobile payment space.
