Does it work with the SalesVu POS?

Yes. The Order Manager is built into SalesVu, so any ticket from the SalesVu POS, online store, kiosk, or QR ordering shows up on the kitchen display automatically.

Does it work with Square?

Yes. SalesVu's Order Manager integrates with Square POS so Square users can adopt a kitchen display without changing their register.

Can it run on older iPads or older hardware?

Yes. The display is intentionally lightweight and runs well on older iPads, which makes it a great use case for hardware you already own.

Can I keep printing tickets as a backup?

Yes. Print as a fallback or alongside the screens during the transition. You can also print only specific stations while others go fully digital.

Can I send order-ready SMS to guests?

Yes. When a ticket is marked complete, the system can text the guest that their order is ready for pickup or that the table's food is on its way.

Does it support multi-station kitchens?

Yes. You can configure stations such as grill, sauté, fryer, salad, bar, and expo, each with its own filtered view, sounds, and timing thresholds.

What does Fire Items to Kitchen by Category do?

Appetizers fire cold-side; entrées fire to grill — all from one ticket. The pacing the dining room needs happens automatically.

What does Fire Individual Items to the Kitchen Printer do?

Refire a single item (a missing side, an over-cooked steak) without resending the whole ticket. Comps drop and the line stays calm.

What does Print Duplicate Order ID on the Kitchen Receipt do?

Stamp the order ID on the bottom of the chit so expo can match it to the tab in seconds. Wrong-table errors fall.

What does Custom Status with SMS/Email Notification do for KDS?

When a ticket moves to 'Ready', the guest auto-receives a text. Counter calls of 'is my order ready?' disappear and pickup throughput rises.

What does Order Status Change on the POS sync into the KDS?

Status updates on either side reflect on both. The expo's view and the cashier's view tell the same story to the customer.
