See Host Stand Tools

Online Reservations

Accept bookings directly from your website or Google listing. Set capacity limits, require deposits for large parties, and manage table inventory.

Waitlist Management

Allow walk-ins to join a digital waitlist. Send automated SMS texts when their table is ready to reduce crowding at the door.

POS Integration

When a party is seated, the table status instantly updates on the POS. When the check is paid, the host stand knows the table is turning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge per-cover fees?

No. Unlike some major booking platforms, SalesVu charges a flat software fee, meaning you keep more of your revenue.

Can I require a credit card on file to book?

Yes, you can require a card on file to reduce no-shows, or charge a non-refundable deposit for special events and large parties.

Does this work for services as well as restaurants?

Yes! The booking engine can be configured for service appointments (like spas or salons) linking specific staff members to the appointment.

Is this module included with SalesVu, or do I need a separate plan?

It is part of the SalesVu platform. Your account team can confirm what is bundled in your specific plan and whether any optional modules apply to your setup.

Does it require new hardware?

Generally no — it runs on the same iPads, terminals, kiosks, scanners and printers most SalesVu accounts already use. Your account team can confirm peripheral compatibility for your setup.

How long does it take to get started?

Most operators are live during their onboarding plan. Multi-location and multi-concept rollouts run on a per-site schedule with your account team.

Does it work across multiple locations?

Yes. SalesVu is built multi-location, with per-location configuration and a rolled-up corporate view for owners and regional leads.

Where does this module get its data?

From the SalesVu data layer — POS, eCommerce, Inventory, CRM and loyalty — so every module reads from the same operational source of truth.

Will anything send or change without my approval?

By default, drafts and recommendations require a human approval step. You can later opt in to auto-actions for specific recurring workflows once you trust the outputs.

Does this work for restaurants and retail or just one?

Both. SalesVu is one platform across retail, restaurants, salons, studios, venues and grocery, so the same module fits whether the SKU is a t-shirt, an entrée, a service or a class.

Does Reservations share the customer record with POS and CRM?

Yes. One customer record across reservations, dining, retail, loyalty and marketing.

Can the Customer Service Agent take reservations?

Yes. The Customer Service Agent can take reservations over the phone using the same booking calendar as your website.

Does it support waitlists and deposits?

Yes. Waitlists, deposits and cancellation rules are configurable per venue.

Is it built for fine dining and casual?

Yes. Floor plans, table turn timing and prix fixe menus are supported alongside casual venue workflows.

What does Type 1 — Restaurant Reservations setup do?

Configures the booking engine for dining: party size, table inventory, turn time, prix fixe options and deposit rules. Restaurants get an OpenTable-style flow without the per-cover fees.

What does Type 2 — Salon and Service Appointments do?

Sets up bookings around a specific staff member, service duration, room or chair, and required equipment. Spas, salons and studios can run a calendar that respects real resource constraints, not just clock time.

What does the OnTheList waitlist + floor plan app do?

Build a digital floor plan that matches your dining room, take walk-ins onto a SMS waitlist, and seat them with a tap. Hosts stop juggling paper, guests get accurate text alerts, and average wait times measurably drop.

What does the Welcome waitlist app for salons and spas do?

An iPad-based check-in and waitlist designed for personal-service venues: clients add themselves to the waitlist, get SMS alerts when their provider is ready, and the system tracks wait times by staff. Front desk staff are freed from being a notification service.

What does the HERE check-in app do?

Sells and tracks class packages, checks clients in by name lookup, verifies package expiration and flags overages. Studios and activity centers run admissions like a gym door without paper logs.

What does Online Reservation Deposits do?

Require a refundable hold or non-refundable deposit at booking for large parties, special events or peak nights. No-shows on your most valuable seats fall sharply.

What does Customer Service Agent for phone reservations do?

When your host stand is slammed, the AI Customer Service Agent answers the phone, takes the reservation against the same calendar your website uses, and confirms it back to the guest by SMS. Owners stop losing bookings to busy signals during the rush.

What does Linking Staff to Appointments do?

Each appointment is tied to a specific provider, so commissions, utilization and rebook rates roll up per stylist or therapist automatically. Owners can see who's underbooked and who's a star without exporting anything.
